Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Location: Lone Tree, CO | Type: Full-Time | Department: Surgical

Job Summary

To provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventative care to patients under the supervision of MVSA surgeons. The APP will support and assist surgeons in the operating room, conduct patient examinations, prescribe medications, and coordinate overall patient care in our private surgical practice.

Requirements — Physician Assistants

Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA board certified
Active Colorado PA license
BLS and ACLS certification
Surgical experience preferred; new graduates considered

Requirements — Nurse Practitioners

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
AANP or ANCC board certified
Active Colorado APRN license
BLS and ACLS certification
Surgical or acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

First or second assist in the operating room
Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient evaluations
Prescribe medications and manage patient care plans
Perform clinic visits, wound checks, and follow-up appointments
Document patient encounters in EMR system
Collaborate with the surgical team and support staff
Participate in on-call coverage as required
